I have had the pleasure of working with Matthew for two years, and I can confidently say that he has been an outstanding asset to our organization. Matthew has a remarkable talent for designing insightful training sessions that engage participants and make learning both enjoyable and effective. He oversees our staff retreats and they are a highlight of our staff’s year. He creates unique activities that strike the perfect balance between productivity and fun. I had the opportunity to work with Matthew as part of our Resettlement and Placement (R&P) team. Matthew was an extremely valuable member of our team. He is an exceptional instructional designer and training manager, blending innovation, strategy, and learner engagement to create impactful training programs. Matthew excels in managing large projects such as our annual conference and staff training. From working with our staff to produce excellent training sessions, to ensuring everything ran smoothly, Matthew consistently delivered outstanding results during our conferences. His expertise in instructional design ensures that learning experiences are not only effective but also engaging, and tailored to diverse audiences and learning styles. As a training manager, he fosters a culture of continuous learning, guiding teams with clear objectives, structured development plans, and data-driven performance. His ability to align training initiatives with organizational goals makes him a key driver of staff development and performance. Matthew was such an asset to our team and made a positive impact on all staff, clients, and learners he worked with.

I had the pleasure of working with Matthew when we hired him as a contractor to redesign our EAGLS program, a five day curriculum to teach leadership and advocacy skills to girls in East Africa. His work was inventive and exemplary. Matthew’s thoughtful approach and creativity helped foster a dynamic learning environment that inspired our youth leaders. His dedication to understanding our goals and translating them into engaging content showed the girls that leadership is participatory, creative, and collaborative. Matthew’s contribution continues to have an impact as we have reused his curriculum in our subsequent summits.
